Unexpected Floral Containers

I really enjoy using non traditional containers for my floral arrangements. For these orange roses, I used a deep cake plate I found at Crate and Barrel. I collect cake plates of all shapes and sizes and combined my love for cake plates and flowers with this design. I have used candle holders, pitchers, terra cotta pots, wine bottles, and even cigar boxes for flowers. Using these instead of traditional vases seems to add a bit of whimsy and creativity to my designs.
